Ruckus Unleashed R710 Access Point - Indoor Wi-Fi 5 802.11ac Wave 2 (9U1-R710-US00)
Deliver industry-leading performance and extreme capacity to your most demanding enterprise environments without the cost of a dedicated controller. The Ruckus Unleashed R710 (9U1-R710-US00) is a high-end, dual-band Wave 2 802.11ac indoor access point purpose-built for schools, universities, public venues, hotels, and high-density corporate offices. This United States (US) regional model comes factory-loaded with Ruckus Unleashed firmware, providing a controller-less, highly resilient architecture that simplifies deployment for small-to-medium businesses while retaining elite enterprise performance.
With concurrent 4x4:4 MU-MIMO spatial streams, dual Gigabit Ethernet ports with Link Aggregation support, and an onboard IoT-ready USB interface, the R710 Unleashed easily eliminates network bottlenecks to provide consistent, blazing-fast coverage for up to 512 concurrent client devices.
Key Features:
- Controller-Less Unleashed Architecture: Deploy a powerful enterprise network in minutes via a simplified 60-second web interface. Up to 128 Unleashed APs can be managed under a single virtual controller architecture, eliminating upfront controller licensing and hardware costs.
- High-End Wave 2 Architecture: Take advantage of advanced 802.11ac Wave 2 technology featuring concurrent dual-band 4x4:4 spatial streams. Utilizing Multi-User MIMO (MU-MIMO), the R710 simultaneously transmits to multiple client devices to maximize airtime efficiency and overall network throughput.
- Dual Gigabit Ports w/ Link Aggregation: Built with dual 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ-45 Ethernet ports supporting Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP). Combine both ports into a single logical channel to double your backhaul capacity to the switch and completely eliminate wired bottlenecks.
- BeamFlex+ Smart Antennas: Ruckus’s patented adaptive antenna system dynamically adjusts signal paths and utilization across 4,000+ unique antenna patterns. Dual-polarization adaptive antennas automatically adapt to the physical orientation of mobile devices, delivering up to 4 dB of added signal gain and up to 15 dB of active interference mitigation.
- ChannelFly Predictive Management: Employs advanced machine learning to run statistical, real-time capacity analysis on all available channels, automatically shifting traffic to the least congested Wi-Fi paths to optimize throughput in hyper-dense spaces.

- Quick Start Guide
Power over Ethernet (PoE) injector/switch or local 12V DC power supply required for operation (sold separately). Operating the AP on legacy 802.3af PoE will disable the secondary Ethernet port, the USB port, and slightly reduce 2.4GHz radio streams due to power limitations; a full 802.3at PoE+ source is recommended for peak functionality.
